The diocese-of-mississippi administers several scholarship funds. Application and reference submissions are due annually by May 1. Questions can be directed to scholarship@dioms.org.

Available Scholarships

  • Misticos Scholarships: Four awards annually (one girl, three boys) of Greek Orthodox or Episcopal faith.
  • Warren Scholarships: Given to students with financial need who demonstrate academic achievement and church leadership; preference is given to young women.
  • Capers Scholarships: For Episcopal college students from Mississippi pursuing a liberal arts education.
  • Okolona Scholarships: Awarded to Black college students (male or female) from Mississippi on the basis of academic performance and need. Episcopalians are preferred, but all may apply.
  • Adams Episcopal Scholarship: For active Mississippi Episcopalians attending Mississippi State University (engineering or business) who participated in school-sponsored sports and/or music.

Selection Committee

Recipient selection is managed by a committee consisting of the Bishop, the Dean and Wardens of St. Andrew's Cathedral, and Executive Committee members and Trustees of the diocese.
