This resource outlines the weekly prayer schedules for the Diocese of Mississippi and our companion diocese, Panama.

Mississippi Cycle of Prayer

A 52-week rotation that guides our parishes in prayer for:

  • Diocesan & National Leaders: The Archbishop of Canterbury, our Presiding Bishop, the Province of Sewanee, and the Bishops of Mississippi.
  • Institutions & Ministries: The University of the South (Sewanee), parochial day schools, campus/school/prison chaplaincies, the Gray Center, and postulants.
  • Parishes & Missions: Rotations through regional congregations across Mississippi, including Jackson, the Gulf Coast, Vicksburg, McComb, Hattiesburg, Meridian, Oxford, and Tupelo.
  • Clergy & Mission: Retired clergy and global mission work.

Panama Cycle of Prayer

Supports our companion diocese relationship with the Diocese of Panama, covering:

  • The Bishop of Panama, diocesan staff, church schools, and candidates.
  • Local congregations such as the Cathedral of St. Luke (Panama City), San Cristobal, and regional missions in Colon, Almirante, and David.

We invite all lay leaders, clergy, and parishioners to use these rotations in daily and Sunday liturgies to strengthen our shared ministry. To keep up with these and other diocesan announcements, consider subscribing to our monthly updates.
