A statement from Bishop Seage on the events yesterday at Uvalde Elementary:
"Almighty God, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children: Gives us calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up, that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good, following in the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. (BCP pg. 829)"
I believe we all know the words of that prayer to be accurate and true especially that God has blessed us with the joy and care of children. Perhaps our grief can help us work together for the safety of our children, families and schools. Inaction is not the answer. This is a moment to be faithful and loving stewards of our children and families.
