Allin House staffers receive CPR training
Allin House staff members received CPR training in July.
Michelle Smith with American Medical Response led the training at St. Andrew's Cathedral on July 5th. Several staffers who received certification in years past were interested to learn that there were changes in the recommended techniques.
The training covered CPR techniques for adults and children as well as emergency response to choking incidents. Also, Smith covered the use of portable defibrillators (AEDs) and what part they play in the administration of CPR.
In the Jackson area, call Smith to schedule your parish or mission for training. She may be contacted at 601-238-1377 or 601-368-2361. For those outside of Jackson metro, call your local fire department.
"CPR training saves lives," said Bishop Gray who has been certified for several years. "I hope employees in parishes and volunteers will make time to schedule and receive this vital training."
