God in the Midst of Dropped Stitches

“Good God!  Guide me through the knots, kinks, dropped stitches, split yarn, shredded fringe, dye lot mismatches, pattern mistakes, errors, and the myriad other ‘issues’ that get in the way of my centeredness.”  Janet Brighton

It was our third gathering of knitters and needle workers; our second Holy Week together.  Indeed, it was “The Holy in the Ordinary” that we discovered as we prayed together, sang together, knitted and needled together, and shared together our stories.  The Holy Week experience with knitters and needle workers offered wonderful moments of grace, epiphanies, and revelations.  It was a holy sharing replete with delight and joy.  It was a time to know fully, God’s abiding presence in our lives and the invitation to care for others.
