Following consultation with Bishop Seage, Gray Center Camps and Conferences is now temporarily closed until further notice because of health guidelines for social interactions due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
With the information from health officials changing rapidly, we have decided the safety and health of our guests and staff are the top priority. With this in mind, both the north and south campuses are closed to all visitors and traffic.
This decision was not made lightly. We are grateful to the resilient Gray Center community for support, caring and compassion in working with us to manage rescheduling. Staff are still available by email.
Rescheduling, Refunds and How You Can Help
Many groups scheduled to come to Gray Center for conferences during the next few weeks or groups scheduled to be at the Camp Bratton-Green for the remainder of the Spring semester have cancelled. Guests who have scheduled to attend conferences through the middle of April, should check in with their conference coordinator concerning rescheduling and refunds.
The financial impact that the loss of income will have on Gray Center is tremendous. Please consider converting your fees to a charitable contribution in order to help us get through this difficult time. You may also make a gift on-line: https://www.graycenter.org/giving/.
We will continue to closely monitor this situation and put in place necessary measures. We are working with local authorities and the CDC. Further, our insurance carriers are collaborating with camps and conference centers to ensure the health and safety of our staff and the guests we serve.
Late Spring and Summer Programming
Conferences, events and summer camps from late spring through the summer are currently scheduled to continue. Please follow Gray Center and Camp Bratton-Green on Facebook and Instagram for regular updates. Please check back with us for any change. This old place on Way Road has long been a haven and we hope to see you soon.
Nisey Ward is the assistant director of the Gray Center.
