Morris family home blitz is on
The Rev. Paul Stephens, rector of All Saints', Tupelo says that what began as a dream a few weeks ago is now a reality. A one acre tract of property south of Smithville was donated to Wade and Jennifer Morris who lost their home in the EF-5 tornado that leveled Smithville in late April.

The Morris's new home will be constructed in Smithville with financial assistance received from many sources including a significant contribution from the diocese’s Mississippi Disaster Relief Fund and an anticipated grant from Episcopal Relief and Development.
“Surveying and title work, utility hook up and other preliminary site and related work are underway and the foundation will be laid by July 9th,” said Stephens. “Individuals and businesses located across the diocese are donating building materials to help offset construction costs.”
Stephens called for volunteers from across the diocese to help with the two week building blitz which began on July 9. Volunteer teams from as far away as Houston, Texas have already signed on to help with construction.
