The 84th annual Valentine Silver Tea, hosted by St. Monica Guild of Trinity Episcopal Church in Pass Christian, will be held on Friday, February 14th from 3-5 p.m. at the magnificent home of Jeanne Hines McDaniel located at 519 East Scenic Drive in Pass Christian, MS. Balloons will mark parking areas as well as the entrance to the home.
This festive event is FREE to the public while donations are requested from attending guests to help fund St. Monica’s numerous outreach ministries. A silver donation bowl will be placed in the home foyer of this purpose.
The featured 10,000 square foot home was heavily damaged by Katrina but has been completely rebuilt and restored to its original appearance of 1895. The furnishings and grounds of this mansion are superb and a “must see” for local residents, and visiting tourists.
Interior designer, Benne Hines, son of Jeanne Hines McDaniel, found rare bronzite stone for the kitchen countertops and had painter Keith Guy apply special finishes to the cabinetry to match. The dining room has a pair of 6-foot antique French chandeliers that hang over an exquisite ten foot mahogany table. Guests may view the home while enjoying tasty homemade goodies featured from Trinity’s Tried and True Cookbook for Body and Soul. This wonderful cookbook will be available for purchase at the tea for $18 while wine, tea, and coffee will be served to all guests.
